The Ivorian army was again attacked by unknown gunmen on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, August 16, in Dabou, near Abidjan. "The situation is under control, our men were able to repel the attack. Raking is underway," said a source within the staff of Republican Forces (FRCI).
The source said the city jail has been particularly affected by these unknown assailants. After the attack, hundreds of prisoners escaped from prison Thursday Dabou. "The prison was broken, all prisoners were released, others have been recovered but many are gone," said MP Mohammed Soukou Sess.
Besides the prison, the armed men attacked the camp overnight Republican Forces (FRCI, army), the police and the gendarmerie base.
