Czech police announced Saturday in Ostrava (northeast) have arrested a recidivist August 10 Czech 29, who prepared likely to bomb attack, which draw inspiration from the Norwegian right-wing extremist Anders Behring Breivik.
The police seized in his apartment a large arsenal including a submachine gun, a bomb and explosives. "The components of the explosive device was operational," said the police chief of Ostrava, Radovan Vojta, during a press conference.
But he added that the police did not know the target of the attack prepared. "We are only at the beginning of the investigation. Currently, we do not want to disclose more information," said Vojta.
ALREADY SENTENCED TO FIVE TIMES
According to the BBC, the man arrested is called Breivik was on the Internet. He was arrested in his apartment by a rapid response unit. The arrest was preceded by the evacuation of about 80 residents of the same building.
The man, whose identity has not been disclosed, has already been sentenced to five times in the past for various offenses. In 2010, he was sentenced to six months suspended, for he blew an engine craft before a pumping station in Ostrava. According to his neighbors interviewed Saturday by the agency CTK, the man was not a right-wing extremist but rather a déséqulibré.
On 22 July 2011, the Norwegian right-wing extremist Anders Behring Breivik had eight people killed by a bomb near government headquarters in Oslo and made 69 other deaths by opening fire on a summer camp of the Labour Youth on the island of Utoeya.
