Northern Mali: Jihadists aim Europe, according to the Nigerian president
The President of Niger, Mahamadou Issoufou, who will meet Tuesday in Paris with his French counterpart, François Hollande, justify military intervention against claims that the jihadists in northern Mali, saying that "their goal is the Europe ".
"If we let them, the jihadists will not stop in West Africa. Their goal is Europe. Who holds Africa is Europe," Mr. Issoufou warned in an interview published Monday by the French daily Le Figaro. He explains that "non-intervention [in the north of Mali] would be much worse than intervention" (military).
